Educational Attainment and Enrollment around the World (ongoing)
This database reports statistics and graphs on equity in years of schooling completed by age cohort; enrollment by age; grade survival; and school participation by level and age. Equity is determined along the dimensions of economic status quintiles, gender, rural, or urban residence. The database is updated regularly as new source household survey data become available, and currently includes statistics derived from 268 datasets from 96 countries. The database is accessible at http://econ.worldbank.org/projects/edattain.

Fiscal Policy and Electoral Politics in the States of India (2008)
This database is an annual panel of 15 major states of India over the period 1972-1995, and contains fiscal variables obtained from the Reserve Bank of India Bulletin and electoral variables from Butler, Lahiri, and Roy (1995). It also contains demographic and economic characteristics, and a state-level price index to convert all fiscal variables into real terms from a data set put together at the World Bank, which is described in detail in Özler and others (1996).

Poverty and Health Dataset (2008)
This dataset provides tabulations of health indicators by wealth quintile, along with summary statistics. Tabulations are available for 120 health, nutrition and population indicators, for 56 countries. Data are available by country and by indicator. Approximately half the country datasets provide tabulations for two or more years. The data are drawn from 95 household surveys undertaken in 56 low- and middle-income countries by the Demographic and Health Survey (DHS) project between 1990 and 2005. The dataset is a joint product between the World Bank’s Development Research Group and Human Development Network (Health Financing). Acknowledgement should be to: Davidson R. Gwatkin, Shea Rutstein, Kiersten Johnson, Eldaw Suliman, Adam Wagstaff, and Agbessi Amouzou. 2007. Socio-Economic Differences in Health, Nutrition, and Population (Washington, DC: The World Bank). The data can be downloaded from http://www.worldbank.org/povertyandhealth via the link to "Country reports on poverty and health." or here.

Service Delivery Surveys
Nine Quantitative Service Delivery Surveys and Public Expenditure Tracking Surveys were fielded to investigate incentives that providers face (institutional, administrative, and other factors influencing overall performance), the relationship of accountability between policymakers and frontline provider organizations and providers, as well as "client power." Below are two data sets from this series. Others may not become publicly available because of constraints imposed by participating governments. More
