Agriculture and Rural Development
The research reflects key operational areas of the World Bank. The research program focuses on three broad areas: (1) what are the most effective ways to raise productivity? (2) how might public goods be best supplied and external effects dealt with? and (3) how can poverty, volatility and vulnerability best be addressed?

Computational Tools 
This program focuses on developing analytical tools for applied economic analysis such as small geographic area poverty estimations (PovMap), GIS tools and special econometrics methods, computer assisted personal interview systems, web-based data analysis and data dissemination tools (PovCalNet, CLISP), and management information systems.
DIIME thumbnail imageDevelopment Impact Evaluation (DIME)
DIME is a World Bank-wide program to generate knowledge on the effectiveness of development policies. Working across 18 thematic areas, DIME collaborates with 300 agencies in 72 countries to improve the effectiveness of policies and programs and strengthen country capacity for real-time evidence-based policy-making.
