Summary: This study on the education sector in Chad adds to the growing list of Country Sector Reports (CSRs) which the World Bank has been sponsoring in the Africa Region. As with other similar reports, the CSR for Chad is the product of collaboration between World Bank staff, a national team from the Chadian Ministry of Education, staff from other government ministries as well as members of the local development community. The report is intended to provide an accurate snap-shot of the current status of education in Chad, and thus to offer policy makers in Chad and their development partners a solid analytical foundation to inform policy dialogue and the decision-making process.
