Gero Carletto

Lead Economist

GERO CARLETTO is a Senior Economist in the Development Research Group of the World Bank. His research interests are in the areas of poverty, migration, and rural development. A member of the Living Standards Measurement Study (LSMS) team, he has extensive experience in the design, implementation and analysis of household surveys. Prior to joining the World Bank, he had worked at the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) and various UN agencies. He holds a Ph.D. in Agricultural and Resource Economics from the University of California at Berkeley.
