The Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR) was established in 1971. The CGIAR is a strategic partnership of countries, international and regional organizations and private foundations supporting the work of 15 international Centers.

International Food Policy Research Institute
IFPRI's mission is to provide policy solutions that cut hunger and malnutrition. This mission flows from the CGIAR mission: "To achieve sustainable food security and reduce poverty in developing countries through scientific research and research-related activities in the fields of agriculture, livestock, forestry, fisheries, policy, and natural resources management."

Food & Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO)
The FAO leads international efforts to defeat hunger. Serving both developed and developing countries, FAO acts as a neutral forum where all nations meet as equals to negotiate agreements and debate policy.

International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD)
The International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), a specialized agency of the United Nations, was established as an international financial institution in 1977 as one of the major outcomes of the 1974 World Food Conference.

International Federation of Agricultural Producers (IFAP)
IFAP is a global network in which farmers from industrialized and developing countries exchange concerns and set common priorities. IFAP has advocated farmers’ interests at the international level since 1946.

Global Donor Platform for Rural Development
