SAROJINI HIRSHLEIFER holds research interests in the fields of public and behavioral economics. More specifically, her research thus far has focused on social behavior and allocative resource models. She has also worked in both the Finance and Public Economics units of the Research Group on topics including: microfinance, connected lending, migration and remittances, and provision of public services. She received a B.A. in Economics with highest honors from University of California, Berkeley in 2004, and will pursue her Ph.D. in economics. The 2007 World Development Report defines her as a member of the next generation.Â
