NISTHA SINHA is a core team member of the 2007 World Development Report, “Development and the Next Generation”. She received her Ph.D. in Economics from University of Washington in 2001. She was a core team member of a research report analyzing gender issues in schooling, health, labor force and community participation in Pakistan. Prior to joining the World Bank, she worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Economic Growth Center, Yale University (2001-2003). Her research focuses on the role of household behavior and delivery of services in the determination of human development outcomes, and the implications for public policy.
