PETER ORAZEM is University Professor of Economics at Iowa State University. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Economics at the University of Kansas and a Ph.D. in Economics from Yale University. His research includes studies of rural development, occupational and educational choices, transition economies, and government labor market policies. His papers have appeared in journals such as the American Economic Review, Journal of Political Economy, International Economic Review, The Review of Economics and Statistics, and the Journal of Finance and he is coeditor of a forthcoming book, Child Labor and Schooling in Latin America.
