Jeffery Tanner

World Development Report 2006: Equity and Development

Jeffery Tanner holds research interests in the microeconomics of poverty and inequality. Before joining the WDR 2006 team, he was the Dean’s Fellow at Harvard University’s Master of Public Administration in International Development program.  He holds a Bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University as a double major in Economics and International Development.

 

His prior World Bank experience includes work with Poverty Reduction and Economic Management group on issues of Social Capital in Africa. He has also worked in a British financial services firm; as a research analyst for FINCA International; on several medical missions to Central America; and has co-founded two non-governmental organizations operating in Latin America.
