The International Trade and Integration Team in the Research Group of the World Bank is recruiting in the area of International Economics. We are considering both established candidates with a superior research record and new PhDs with a reasonable expectation of degree completion by June 2012. We seek candidates with (i) strong technical skills; (ii) evidence of -- or good prospects for -- high-quality, original research in peer-reviewed journals, (iii) the ability to communicate technical knowledge and expertise in a policy environment; and (iv) excellent English proficiency.
The Research Group is the hub for development policy research at the World Bank, and economists in the International Trade and Integration Team work on economic and policy issues surrounding trade in goods and services, foreign direct investment, and migration.
