Amy Klement, Omidyar
Featuring Land Portal Launch and Changemakers competition winners
Thursday, April 21 | 12:30 PM - 2:00 PM | Atrium

Omidyar-Sponsored Lunch & Land Portal Launch from Rachel Beach on Vimeo.

Omidyar Network, a philanthropic investment firm dedicated to creating opportunity for people to improve their lives, supports for-profit companies and nonprofit organizations that can catalyze social and economic change on a global scale. To date, the organization has committed more than $385 million across its portfolio, with $25 million going to property rights initiatives that aim to foster greater awareness, spur innovation, and encourage policy reforms and programs that can bring the benefits of property rights to millions. At this lunch session, Omidyar Network will share news on two innovative programs that work towards these goals: the Ashoka's Changemakers competition for property rights and the launch of the International Land Coalition's (ILC) Land Portal.

The three Changemakers competition winners--Red Tierras from Colombia, Terra Nova from Brazil, and ENSS/SUTRA from India--will share the innovative work that distinguished them from a pool of more than 210 entries from around the world. The ILC will launch its exciting new Land Portal, an open, easy-to-use online platform to share land related information, monitor trends, and identify information gaps to promote effective and sustainable land governance. Please join us to hear more from these property rights innovators.
