Description and Format

This document provides a description of how the survey was designed and implemented.  It also contains codes for variables not found in the questionnaires.

The questionnaire is an essential tool for using the data. In addition to containing the questions, it also contains codes and skip patterns.

This questionnaire collects information on the 2009/10 rainy and the 2010 dry (dimba) seasons for panel households.  For the cross section households, the reference rainy season could have been 2008/09 or 2009/10, while the reference dimba season couldhave been 2009 or 2010, depending on when the household was interviewed.

This questionnaire collects information household fishing activities, equipment for fishing, and purchases and sales associated with the household's fishing activities.

This manual was used to provide the interviewers with instructions on how to implement the agriculture and fishery questionnaires.  Key definitions are included along with specific instructions on how to administer every module of the questionnaire.

This manual explains the duties of the Field Supervisors.  The Field Supervisors directly supervised the work of the enumerators in the implementation of the survey.
