Financial and Private Sector Development
Mario Guadamillas will be a visiting expert in the Development Research Group from May 20-24, 2013. He is the manager of the Financial Architecture and Banking Systems Service Line that coordinates the IMF-WB Financial Sector Assessment Program (FSAP), the World Bank participation in the Financial Stability Board (FSB), and provides assistance to countries in the banking regulation and supervisory area. Since he joined the Bank in 1998, Mario has been involved in Lending, Technical Assistance, Economic and Sector Work, Financial Sector Assessment Program (FSAP), and Fee-Based Services (FBS), as well as representing the Bank at standard setting bodies. He is currently working on a paper about financial sector regulatory reform ("The Search for a New Paradigm and Financial Regulatory Framework").
