Research Highlights is a yearly report summarizing the major activities of the Development Research Group. The research group is the World Bank’s principal research unit, located in the Development Economics Vice Presidency, and the seven research programs reflect the World Bank's priorities of reducing poverty in a fiscally, environmentally, and socially sustainable manner. > Learn More About Us |
This year's highlights report continues to focus on the global financial crisis, including an assessment of the causes, the likely impact on poverty and human development, and appropriate policy responses. It also highlights a relatively new strand of work on tools for development research.
