Research Highlights 2007 (published in April 2008) is the third of the resumed series of annual reports on the research activity of the Development Research Group (DECRG), the World Bank’s principal research unit.
The expanded online version includes the content of the abbreviated print version (see "in this report") and a complete list of DECRG's publications in 2007, comprising 25 books, 175 journal articles, 90 book chapters and more than 180 working papers; the full report also lists the 12 new public-access datasets produced in 2007, and outreach material including 12 featured research articles, 12 research briefs, and information about 14 conferences organized or co-organized by DECRG staff. The report reflects the breadth, depth, and quality of DECRG's research program, which spans the gamut of development policy, including access to finance, human development, rural and urban infrastructure, redistribution and insurance, macroeconomic stabilization, trade reform, and environmental sustainability.
