Remittances sent home by migrant workers are the single biggest income source for developing nations. The total amount sent home by foreign workers exceeds the amount that the whole world spends on foreign aid. Dilip Ratha discussed the importance of remittances in the global economy.

Global Remittance Trends - A conference call on July 11, 2008

Revised estimates show that remittance flows to developing countries were $251 billion in 2007. In this conference call, Dilip Ratha discussed the current global remittance trends, expected growth, pricing, use of new technology, economic impact on money transfer growth and other related topics.
