Markus Goldstein

MARKUS GOLDSTEIN is a development economist with experience working in Sub-Saharan Africa, East Asia, and South Asia. He is currently a Senior Economist in the Africa Region of the World Bank where he works on issues of poverty and gender. He also works closely with the Human Development and Public Services team in the Development Research Group. His research interests include HIV/AIDS, intrahousehold allocation, risk, poverty measurement, public services, and land tenure.  Markus has taught at the London School of Economics, the University of Ghana, Legon, and Georgetown University.  He holds a PhD from the University of California, Berkeley.
